Deep Tech CEE Summit 2026

Polish Science Enters the Global Deep Tech Arena! Highlights from Deep Tech CEE Summit & Challenge 2026 🚀🔬

On October 27, Warsaw became the epicenter of international dialogue on breakthrough technologies during Deep Tech Summit 2026, organized by Innovative Poland / Fundacja Polska Innowacyjna led by Sławomir Olejnik and Paweł Ząbek. Among over 750 participants—founders, VC investors, government representatives, and scientists — Politechnika Krakowska im. Tadeusza Kościuszki delivered a strong, strategic voice!

🏛️ A Strategic Co-Organization
Politechnika Krakowska, together with the Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego, acted as co-organizers of the event, curating the dedicated thematic track „Deep Tech From Science”. Its mission: strengthening the potential, global recognition, and international expansion of deep tech born at Polish universities.
INTECH PK proudly served as the Supporting Partner of the conference. Our university was officially represented by Izabela Paluch, President of the Board of INTECH PK, while the Ministry was represented by Izabela Najda-Jędrzejewska, Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation and Development.

💡 Three Strategic Debates on Future Technologies
Experts from Politechnika Krakowska led high-impact panel discussions bridging science, business, and VC investment:
Biotech & MedTech – „From lab to global market: what will it take for Poland to scale MedTech and Biotech?”, moderated by Dagmara Słota, PhD. (Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics), exploring clinical validation, regulatory pathways, and scaling.
Quantum Revolution – „Quantum Revolution?”, moderated by Michal Bereta, PhD. Eng, prof. PK (Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications), balancing practical business value against industry hype.
Net-Zero & Green Hydrogen – „Beyond Recycling: Green Hydrogen, Circular Carbon and Deep Tech for Net-Zero Industry”, moderated by prof. Izabela Czekaj, (Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology), focusing on industrial decarbonization.

Five university-born startups also took the stage, including PK’s spin-off Flexandrobust Systems sp. z o.o. (Konrad Kwiecień / Wydział Inżynierii Lądowej i Transportu Politechniki Krakowskiej)!
